Letting Go. Again.

 

I think I’ve come to the conclusion that “letting go” is not just a one-time event.  After you might feel you’re letting go of the past or whatever the first time, you can’t avoid having those thoughts float through your mind again.  Pretending you’re just not thinking about it is not skillful either, since that’s how we end up with suppressed memories and trauma.  Seems like after letting go, you will still observe those thoughts again but the key is to non-judgmentally observe them and let them pass.

I had that insight while sitting on the john just now.  Funny how/where things occur to you!
